Job Description

A Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen utensils, dishes, cookware, and food preparation equipment. They play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team by ensuring that clean and sanitized items are always available for food preparation and service. Their dedication to cleanliness and efficiency helps maintain a safe, hygienic, and organized kitchen environment.

Dishwashers wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store plates, glasses, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using manual cleaning methods or commercial dishwashing machines. They ensure that all items are thoroughly cleaned and meet food safety and hygiene standards before being returned for use. In addition to washing dishes, they assist in keeping kitchen floors, sinks, waste disposal areas, and workstations clean and organized.

They also help with waste management by disposing of garbage properly, recycling materials when applicable, and restocking cleaning supplies. Dishwashers work closely with cooks, chefs, and kitchen helpers to support smooth kitchen operations, especially during busy meal service. Their ability to work efficiently and maintain cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall success of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
